If you specify a "city" parameter, be advised that this is the city for the appraiser's mailing address, and not a list of cities the appraiser serves. "County" is a better parameter to return several appraisers serving an area. However if you are searching for an appraiser who is located directly in the area where you need an appraisal then "city" can be a useful parameter. It would be better not to also specify the "county" parameter when using "city" because sometimes cities cross county lines. "City" can also be a useful parameter if you don't know the name of the county where the property is located.

Use the "appraiser's name" parameter only to search for a specific appraiser. Perhaps you know an appraiser's last name and you know what state they are in but do not know the phone number or email address. By searching for the appraiser's name you can find the other information if they are in the directory. It is suggested that the "state" parameter be the only one used in conjunction with "appraiser's name". Also, the "appraiser's name" parameter is useful for appraisers to find their own listing and verity that their information is current.

Use the "appraiser's specialty" parameter when you need a Commercial appraiser that specializes in a particular type of property or appraisal. Perhaps you need an appraisal of a golf course, or a nursing home. Of course you would want appraisers that are experienced in that type of appraisal work. That is where the "appraiser's specialty" parameter can be very helpful. When using "appraiser's specialty" as a parameter it is recommend that you use very few of the other parameters unless you find a large list of appraisers then you can narrow your search as needed.

The "zip code" parameter is the appraiser's zip code for their mailing address. It is not a list of zip codes that the appraiser serves. You will find more appraisers if you use the "county" parameter instead of "zip code". However "zip code" is useful if you do not know the county, or if you just want an appraiser with the same zip code as your property. Do not use "zip code" in conjunction with either county and/or city because many cities and counties have several zip codes.

To get a list of appraisers by Zip Code of the areas they serve, return to the Home Page and use the Zip Code Search.

Use the "appraisal firm name" parameter only to search for a specific appraisal firm. Perhaps you remember the name of an appraisal firm but do not know their contact information. Just specify the state and the appraisal firm name and it will find the other information if the appraisal firm is listed in the directory.
